Word is the Bellmer Dolls killed on Saturday night at the High Line theater at Bowie's High Line Fest. (Our boys were asked to open for the Secret Machines, and appeared next to the somehow-TV on the Radio- related Dragons of Zynth.) At least, that's what we've been hearing from witnesses, and that's how it's reported byThe Rich Girls Are Weeping blog. Indeed, read their review for yourself. We ourselves are terribly disappointed for not being able to make it down home to NYC to attend.
As an aside, doesn't that Zina fellow take some splendid pictures of the aforementioned BDolls? You can find some more at his flickr page, including some where the band is joined by Jim Sclavunos of Grinderman/ Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds fame (and the boys' mentor/ producer) for some background vocals and saxophone skronk.
In other news, it seems the Bellmer Dolls will appear in upcoming issues of Sentimentalist Magazine and The Deli Magazine so be sure to check them out.
