May saw Saros complete the studio work for their second album, which will be entitled "Acrid Plains" and was recorded by Billy Anderson at Sharkbite
Studios with additional expertise lent by Justin Weis (Trakworx Studios) and Shawn Biggs (Paradiso Studio). Saros will be posting song samples and information pertaining to the release on their myspace page as it becomes available. Three song samples are currently posted!

Saros will also be playing the Tidal Wave festival at the McLaren Park Amphitheater in San Francisco. This is a big, free festival they'll be playing alongside Hirax, Exodus, and a whole slew of other bands.

Updates from Saros in the studio

Saros posted some updates pictures from their recent trip to the studio to work on their second album on their myspace page. Here's the information reproduced for you below.

Recording Update
Current mood: working

The basic tracking for the new album is complete, most of which were recorded to 2" tape! Sharkbite Studios was a tremendously hard-working and fun experience for us all, and a very comfortable and accommodating space. Billy Anderson and Adam Myatt were incredible folks to work with, and there was enough time to improv some ideas. Ben and Leila will continue to do some extra tracking on the 15th at Paradiso Studios in SF, and then we will be ready to mix down at the end of the month!

Here are some shots Tim took on the scene:
