Work on Missing Foundation reissue completed!

It's about time, isn't it?

We're very pleased to share that the work on the Missing Foundation reissue has officially been finished, and the whole project will be going to press at the end of March/ beginning of April. We'll continue sharing news of its progress and will announce an official release date once proofs have been approved, but we can hope for a release on this finally in early summer of 2009.

Look for the entry on the Augenmusik blog for more details and a sneak peak at some of the mock ups in their final stages.

Hungry Eye & Subterranean Records/ distribution

As long time fans of their output, we're happy to announce that Subterranean Records is now offering Hungry Eye's catalog in their distribution. A good number of their bands have been not-so-secret influences on most Hungry Eye artists, so we're happy to have our records pass through their hands on their way to you.
While their website hasn't been updated in ages, it's still a good archival tool, so direct yourself over to it.

New Hungry Eye titles at Manic Depression Records in France

Manic Depression has put a number of additional Hungry Eye and Hungry Eye and related titles in their mailorder catalog, to make it a little easier for folks from France to obtain fine titles by the likes of Red Voice Choir, Black Ice, Sixteens, and the Holy Kiss. Copies of the Mt Sims 12" went out that way as well, but are not yet to be found in the webstore. Perhaps they've sold already? In any event, keep your eyes peeled for them, as well as for another round of Hungry Eye releases to reach there shortly.

Website updates

The Bellmer Dolls, Sixteens, and Mt. Sims pages have all seen some updated and have some new content. Remember some years ago when the website saw only rare updates? Well, we hope to have sufficiently proved that this is no longer going to be the case. Indeed, we've been in the process of streamlining and improving the site for over the past year.
Head over to the following pages to take a look:

http://www.hungryeyerecords.com/bands/bellmer_dolls/index.html
http://www.hungryeyerecords.com/bands/sixteens/index.html

If you're paying attention, the next month should find us updating the other band pages, getting to that "links" page finally, streamlining the webstore a bit, compiling a list of stockists, and last but not least, maintaining a detailed discography page. We've got our work cut out for us, but it'll happen.

Mt Sims pre-orders shipped!

If you placed a pre-order for the Mt Sims- A Grave 12" it's now shipped. There's still a small handful of the test-press pre-order versions left limited to 50 so get them now! It's available now for download now on most digital download stores if you are more digitally inclined. The vinyl version will hit the store's shelves in a few scant weeks. The covers look phenomenal, if we may say so ourselves. Stay tuned for lots more Mt Sims related news in the coming weeks!

AntiQuark page updated on Hungry Eye site

AntiQuark's webpage on the Hungry Eye website has long suffered the unfortunate fate of being ridiculously out-of-date. Until now! We've updated the page to reflect the band's current line up, and in a number of months their SkyDancer album will make its way around the globe. Take a look at the website here to catch up on what's been going on.

Skabs- CONTENT album now reissued for digital

Hungry Eye is happy to announce they've made the long out of print album "CONTENT" by veteran NY band the Skabs available in digital format. Available in very limited quantities as a split 12" in a hand screened sleeve, CONTENT is considered by many to be the band's finest hour.

The Skabs - Content

The Skabs hailed from all boroughs of NY and started in the punk scene on the Lower East Side in pre-Guiliani New York, packing in shows at clubs like ABC No Rio, CBGB's, and Coney Island High alongside the bands of that era. Though they appeared one of the popular "Punk Uprising" compilations alongside Anti-Flag, the Bouncing Souls, Kill Your Idols, and H2O, and toured the United States numerous times, their recorded output remained scarce. They eventually opted for a more post-punk sound, broke up in 2001 and posthumously because a bit of cult-commodity. Old fans and interested new-comers will be happy to find the remastered version of CONTENT with some additional bonus tracks never before released.
